Good Weapon Combos! A MAJOR advantage in HALO 2 is the ability to duel wield weapons. Now we all have our own personal favorite (personally I prefer the SMG and Magnum) but face it… some are just better in certain situations. For example…
1.) Try using Duel Magnums for close to medium range combat. If you have fast enough trigger fingers and good aim you can take down an enemy in the blink of an eye. If your aim tends to be iffy…well…try a different combo then. 2.) Another good combo is the SMG/Magnum. The Magnum is exceptional for taking down an enemies shield while the SMG finishes the job. Be careful of the SMG gun climb for it will continue to rise until the firing has ceased. (ALSO, if you are right-handed put the SMG in your left hand so u don’t have to tap the fire button for a Magnum. Do the opposite if you are left-handed). 3.) If you need to defend someone (let’s say a flag carrier or bomb carrier) then try using the SMG/Plasma Rifle. The advantage to this is that the Plasma Rifle will temporarily freeze the enemy and lower his shields while the SMG takes care of his health. This will give your carrier a fair amount of time and could possibly win the game. 4.) A combo that seems to be under-estimated is the SMG/Plasma Pistol combo. Many people under-estimate the power of a Plasma Pistol. DO NOT FORGET about its ability to lock on and lower an enemies shields in only one hit! This makes finishing off an enemy with an SMG a piece of cake! 5.) A good combo a VERY close range is Duel Needlers. The nice thing about Needlers at close range is their ability to follow an enemy for a short period of time. Also, the secondary explosion that follows after 4 or more needles are stuck in a target only adds to the carnage. |
